Abstract

Divorce is a social and psychological problem, it is a general phenomenon in all societies, it seems increasingly in our modern societies, divorce consequent negative effects on the disintegration of the family which has become a social phenomenon to be reckoned with ,we use factor analysis which aim to determination the most important factors affecting the spread of divorce in Baghdad, and use sample of 300 divorce with 31 variables, the results of factor analysis six factors with 82.54% of total variance, the first factor alone contributed with 43.10% of total variance , it turns out that divorce causes psychological effects of wife by 58% and the husband by 11.7%, the study ended with several recommendations to the concerned authorities, including scanning all divorce in collaboration with the ministry of justice.Key words: factor analysis, rotated component matrix,
